Heroic has been picked to join the Elisa Invitational as the second Danish invite. The BLAST Premier Qualifier event will reward the top two teams with spots in the Spring European Shodown.

Heroic joins seven other teams from the Nordic region to compete in the invitational. Running from April 30 - May 3, two teams represent Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

A lot has been going on with Heroic of late. A deal with FunPlus Phoenix to acquire the roster fell through after they had played their first match under the new banner at Flashpoint Season 1. Upon returning to Europe, the organization did some restructuring to the roster by benching both Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, while parting ways with their coach, Frederik "LOMME" Nielsen and signing René "TeSeS" Madsen.

Here's the full list of teams competing in the Elisa Invitational:

  • ENCE

  • KOVA Esports

  • North

  • Heroic

  • Dignitas

  • Nordavind

  • Apeks

The invitational winners will move on to the Spring European Showdown, where they will face top tier teams like Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Team Vitality. Spring European Showdown will take place from May 31 - June 7
