Earlier today, a blog post uploaded to the official Overwatch League site revealed the eighteenth team joining the competition in the 2019 season. With all but two organisations still to go, Blizzard Entertainment is going full steam ahead with Overwatch League-related updates, as the upcoming season is set to kick off on the 14th of February, 2019.

Operated by the bilibili Esports Company, a subsidiary branch of Chinese video hosting service Bilibili Inc., the Hangzhou Spark is the fourth team representing the Chinese fanbase, focusing their influence not just on the city of Hangzhou, but the entire Zhejiang Province, just south of Shanghai

The official colour scheme features a vibrant combination of bright pink and teal with white and grey details, meant to represent the fast-growing’ city of Hangzhou which is in the process of transforming into an international destination. The team’s logo, a spark shooting out of a hand, as well as the organisation’s name, are meant to represent speed and power, also paying homage to the electric nature and creative aspect of the Bilibili brand.

Bilibili’s community holds a deep affinity for esports and we are excited to participate in a professional league centred around Blizzard Entertainment’s blockbuster game, Overwatch
