Community manager for 343 Industries Brian “ske7ch” Jarrard made a lengthy post about the Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Reach PC port, conveying sad news that the testing might be delayed. In a previous post he mentioned that “if things go according to plan, flighting should begin this month.” Here is what he said in the new update:
— As we're now in the back half of April, I'm still optimistic this will be the case, but it's also possible those plans may not fully land as we initially hoped.
He then goes on to say that the developers have been working on adding Reach to MCC and playtesting the custom builds on Xbox One (he even mentioned that there was a copy running on his own Project Scorpio developer’s kit).
According to ske7ch, the PC port “requires a lot of work” through internal playtests are already happening.
Last month, 343 Industries confirmed the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection including Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 on Steam. The games will release as separate titles in the respective chronological order.
