Halo Infinite won't have Battle Royale mode upon release

Battle Royal was all the rage in 2018, and it’s still making considerable waves in 2019, but many players want their favorite games to remain what they are without the massive free-for-all shenanigans. For example, when Randy Pitchford announced that Borderlands 3 was not a Battle Royale, the community sighed a collective sigh of relief.
Microsoft insider Brad Sams recently made a video, mostly criticizing things like rumored Facebook Smart Speaker and the new Samsung Galaxy Fold. In the middle of the video, he mentioned that the Halo Infinite developers are working on a Battle Royale mode.
Frank O'Connor from 343 Industries commented on a ResetEra forum thread noting that players would be able to make Battle Royale in Forge, but it would not be accessible as a main game mode.
—The launch modes for MP are not 100% defined and are subject to change till quite late in the process - but Battle Rifle will still be there.
He went on to explain, that 343 Industries treats Battle Royale as a Mode like Capture the Flag or any other, meaning it could theoretically show up in any game from the MCC and would be limited only by the engine.
