John Smedley, president at Daybreak Games, has announced that H1Z1 has sold over one million copies on Steam. While H1Z1 was criticized at its time of Steam Early release and has mixed reviews on Steam, it was still able to break the initial one million goal (that most developers/publishers unofficially set).

The latest update for H1Z1 was released two days and added LOD’s (Level of Detail) to vans, cabinets, and weapon shelves. In addition, this patch improved procedural spawners to make zombies more populous around high-player-traffic areas, and featured adjustments to a few textures and collision objects.

Here are the major features introduced via H1Z1’s latest update:

  • Improved procedural spawners to make zombies more populous around high-player-traffic areas.
  • LOD’s (Level of Detail) added to vans, cabinets, and weapon shelves
  • Added fixed emote key-bindings for new emotes
  • Added new locations for weapon spawns
  • Fixed glow-in-the-dark map object
  • Adjustments to firing animations
  • Adjustments to a few textures and collision objects
  • Prepared data for Oceanic servers (AU)
