A new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare teaser trailer has revealed what looks to be the Gunsmith feature. In the video, a variety of weapons are displayed in different variants that most likely bear slight changes in stats and abilities.

Gunsmith is a feature that allows players to go into the deep customization of their weapons, like adding attachments, changing grips and even disassembling them. It will also be separate from the Create-a-Class feature.

The trailer showcased a variety of fan-favourite weapons and attachments which could end up looking totally different from what it used to, after players have finished customising to their heart's content. In a previous statement, Infinity Ward multiplayer designer David Mickner said with regard to the feature, “That was just the smallest bit of what Gunsmith lets you do.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer reveal event is scheduled to hold on August 1 at 12pm CT.
