Danish esports organization North has announced the hiring of Graham Pitt as its head of esports operations. He will be responsible for numerous strategic activities and other practical tasks associated with the organization's esports efforts.

Pitt was the BLAST Pro Series' director of esports operations for the past three years, making him perfect for the job. He has also worked for ESL and Multiplay in the past.

North CEO, Christopher Håkonsson, spoke on the hire in a release:

We’re looking to establish a permanent sporting team consisting of Graham Pitt and a dedicated professional from the absolute elite, who will be an integral part of the player’s daily routine. As we go forward, North should compete among the top teams in all esport titles that we compete in.

The former North director of esports Jonas "whimp" Svendsen will, in turn, leave the organization to work at Epic Games. He said in a statement regarding his move:

Thanks is a tiny word to the great people I have had the chance to meet and work within Esports, and I am so grateful that I got to experience the competitive side of gaming once again.

North has seen a lot of growth and changes this year, with the addition of Pitt to the family indicating no signs of stopping.
