According to a Gamasutra report, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and CFO Frederick Duguet told the company's investors that porting games to the system has been worth the investment so far.
Thanks to minimal cost, the platform has become a part of their "pipeline," meaning Stadia will be seeing a stable supply of Ubisoft games. Guillemot does however note that the next set of games to be released on the system will “need more work.” Being a streaming console, he is probably anticipating the technical difficulties of getting bigger and more powerful next gen games to run on it.
The success of any console is determined by the quantity and quality of games available on it. Over 30 games were confirmed at Stadia's reveal and more have been added to the list since. Ubisoft has seven confirmed games coming to the platform. Six of them will be available at launch, while the seventh, Watch Dogs: Legion will be released in 2020. If you also factor in Ubisoft's UPlay Plus subscription that's coming to Stadia next year with up to 100 games, it's clear that Ubisoft fans will could Stadia home.
