Golden Guardians have expanded their esports portfolio with the acquisition of Zain "Zain" Naghmi and David "DogDog" Caero.
Zain is a Super Smash Bros. Melee player who has been on the climb in professional Melee since 2015. He recently won GENESIS 7 over Melee legend Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma and finished sixth on the SSBMRank for 2019. He will be Golden Guardians' first-ever Smash player.
DogDog joins Golden Guardians as their first Teamfight Tactics player. DogDog is known for his time playing Hearthstone under Team Liquid from October 2015 to August 2019. He stepped down from Grandmasters Season 2 to pursue streaming full-time rather than competing in Hearthstone. Now it appears he is back on the esports scene with a new pursuit in TFT.
Golden Guardians are an esports organization owned by the Golden State Warriors. They announced an expansion in December that would see them represent teams and players from Teamfight Tactics, World of Warcraft, the League of Legends Championship Series, and Apex Legends. Hunter Leigh, head of GSW Esports, LLC, commented on his excitement for these two players to join Golden Guardians:

DogDog has proven himself as a champion over multiple game titles, and Zain just recently earned a premiere tournament win in Oakland. We can't wait to support them both on their roads to earning more titles.
