God of War - How to Upgrade Blades of Chaos

God of War is by far one of the most famous games for PlayStation ever. The story in it is about Kratos who is a Spartan warrior tricked into killing his life and daughter by his former master. He tries to free himself from the nightmares by helping other Olympian gods. However, years after the destruction of ancient Greece, he finds himself in Norway. There, he promises to help a boy with his quest of helping his mother. 

The games from this series have been praised as some of the best action games of all times. Actually, the numbers speak for themselves - over 32 million copies sold worldwide. God of War has been the sole reason why so many people decide to have a PlayStation in the first place.  

How to Upgrade Blade of Chaos

In order to fully upgrade the Blades of Chaos in God of War, you will need Chaos Flames and a Raging inferno of Muspelheim. You should know that the maximum level for Blades of Chaos is 5. However, they can be upgraded at pretty much every shop out there.

They start out as level one but as you kill bosses, the Chaos Flames needed for the upgrade start to drop. Remember that even if you forget to get them, they will still be placed in the Lost Item section. The maximum level which you can get those Blade just by killing the bosses is 4. 

Having said that, in order to get it to level 5, you need to do something else. Trade the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim at a shop and you will get the Chaos Flame material in exchange. What’s more, in order to do that, you must have beaten the story. 

How To get the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim?

This precious item drops from the Valkyrie in the Realm of Muspelheim.  In order to get it you must do the following:

• Unlock the Realm of Muspelheim first. You can do this by finding 4 Muspelheim Language Ciphers in purple chests. Roam around a little bit because they shouldn’t be that hard to get.

• Once you do reach this place, you have to go through five challenges. If you pass them successfully, you will reach the top of the mountain where you will have to beat each trial twice. The first time on the normal version and the second on the hard one. If you do this, it will unlock a gate which will let you advance further in the mountain.

• Once you reach the top, you will see the Valkyrie which you have to defeat. 

• After you are done, pick up the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim and just go to any shop and exchange it for the item you need.

Finally, once you do all the steps above, you will also get a special trophy called “Why Fight It?"
