Introduction
One of the new things about Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is the addition of four new classes that players can choose from. Each one has something unique to offer, which means that regardless of the type of player that you are, there will be something for you to try out. In addition, you even have the option to actually swap between the different classes, depending on what you need to emphasize at that given time.
Having said that, the overall "content distribution" in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a little bit different in comparison to the previous game. As you know, for the first time ever there is a thing called "seasonal content" and "faction missions". You can start those faction missions from the Homesteaders and the Outcasts.
Let's take a look at how they actually work and what to expect.
Faction Missions
In order to start the missions, you just need to go to the Main Menu and then click on the Objectives Board tab where you will find a lot of faction missions. However, the tricky part is that there will be different missions depending on what time you check at. The good thing is that the tasks are fairly easy, so it won't take as much time. If there is a red thingy next to the task it means that you need to be a higher level, so keep that in mind.
The Faction Missions in this game can be divided into two very distinctive categories. The first one is the faction missions, whereas the second - faction support. As the name suggests, the faction support missions are mainly related to helping a friend or gathering resources. On the contrary, the faction missions are mainly related to killing someone.
Rewards
Of course, all these missions have something in common - they all provide different rewards and battle points. You can use those points to level up your Battle Rewards. Whenever you earn a certain number of Battle Points, you will level up to the second tier which will unlock a special item that you can get. However, it is important to remember that you need to get all the upgrades in that given season. This means that if you are not able to reach a certain level in a season, you won't be able to get this item the next one.
How do the seasons work?
According to Ubisoft, each season will last around four months. Each season will provide different new challenges, weapons, gear, special events and more. The idea is to get you "hooked" to the game for as long as possible.
That said if you are interested in finding out what are the different types of weapons for this season, be sure to check THIS article.
