Ninjas in Pyjamas announced today that legendary player, Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund has left its active roster. The organisation states that the decision was made between him and the team.
While GeT_RiGhT has said in the past couple of months that he wishes to continue his career as a professional player, NiP has offered him a key position instead. "While it’s now up to him to decide his next move in esports, we would be absolutely thrilled to see him stay in our organisation, taking part in shaping our future much like how he shaped our past," states NiP's blog post regarding GeT_RiGhT's departure.
The position offered could be related to coaching or management, as the post later makes mention of NiP expanding it's coaching staff. Details regarding this expansion and GeT_RiGhT's replacement will be shared at a later date.
GeT_RiGhT has spent 7 years playing for NiP, creating a legacy of passion and dedication in the organisation. His accolades include several 1st and 2nd place finishes at CS:GO premier events around the world, like Intel Extreme Masters XI and XII in Oakland.
