Did you think that Geralt of Rivia has retired from slaying monsters? His world is not the only one where a cataclysm of the magnitude of the Conjunction of Spheres took place and dangerous beasts roam the land.
Capcom and CD Projekt Red announced a partnership that will bring the witcher to the Monster Hunter: World. In an official press release CDPR notes:
“[Players will be offered] a unique gameplay experience blending RPG mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with Monster Hunter: World’s game systems.
The monster slayer from Rivia will be added to Monster Hunter: World early in 2019 for console players with a Steam update coming a couple of months later.
Monster Hunter: World is an action RPG by Capcom released early in 2018 for Xbox and PlayStation and later this year for PC on Steam. The game is pretty explanatory from its name — you need to hunt down and kill or trap different types of monsters roaming an open world.
Shortly before the cross-over announcement Capcom also teased a major updated for MH:W called Iceborne. The reveal trailer doesn’t give many details, so the fans of the game will have to wait for new information.
