Introduction

Gears of War 5 is one of the newest third-person shooters which got released for Xbox One and Windows. It is the sixth version of the Gears of War series which got released just a couple of days ago. The plot follows the events of the previous game where. JD, Del, and Marcus are now reformed into the "Delta Squad" and they have a task to travel to the ruins of Azura so that they can launch a Hammer of Dawn satellite. This is needed in order to restore the Hammer of Dawn network which they need to fight against the Swarm.

There are various turning points in the story that makes this game very interesting, especially if you played any of the sequences before. Another cool option is that you can use the split-screen mode, allowing you to play with two of your friends at the same time.

Of course, in addition to the new story, there are various other new things included as well. One of them is the many new weapons which you can choose from. Some of them are very strong, whereas others not so much.

Let's take a look at where to find the different Relic Weapons in Gears of War 5 and why are they worth pursuing.

Enforcer Relic

You will be able to encounter this relic while you are in Act II, Chapters 2 or 4. It is located very close to that gate which unlocks your path to the Skiff. When you open it, just head north and you will find it shortly after. Just follow the wall which is close to the cliff and once you reach its end, look around until you see the Enforcer Relic somewhere on the ground.

This relic will allow you to do a lot more damage than usual, which is awesome. However, it is a little bit slower sometimes so keep that in mind.

Torque Bow Relic

This is probably one of the biggest upgrades you can get in the game right now when it comes down to weapons. Even though at first it might seem like much, The Torque Bow Relic actually allows you to fire a lot faster and it can contain more ammo, which means more sustain. However, keep it in mind that you need to land your hits directly on your targets in order to do damage, which makes it kind of hard to play with.

Similar to the previous one, you will be able to encounter it first while you are in Act II, Chapter four.  In order to find it, you need to walk for a brief period of time just after you pass the ice bridge. You will soon reach a big gate, which means that you need to go through it, climb the hill and then just look around until you see the Torque Bow Relic.

Longshot Relic

Unlike the relics listed above, this does not really provide all that much in comparison. In fact, it only allows you to shoot two times without having to reload, which is still decent of course.

You can obtain this Relic again in Chapters 2 or 4 in Act II. As soon as you unlock the first gate for the Skiff there, just go in the new area which was unlocked and look in the different rooms until you find the Longshot Relic. Just be careful not to fall down in the big frozen lake because it is not going to be a pleasant experience.

Boomshot Relic

The Boomshot Relic is pretty cool and it is actually very similar to the one above. However, instead of two times, you can fire three times before having to reload, making it a lot more efficient to use.

You can get it in Chapter four of Act II  by going to the two generators located close to the North Tower Substation. Once you get there, look in between them and you will see the Boomshot Relic located right next to the right generator.

Dropshot Relic

The Dropshot Relic is decent, even though the buffs you get from it are not as good as some on this list. It is also located in Act II, Chapter 4. However, getting it might be a little bit more tricky because it is located near the lab's signal.

Once you "unlock" the signals from the two Comm towers and go in the middle of the nice, you have to go up the ramp there. Halfway through it, start looking around until you see the relic.

Retro Lancer Relic

Don't let the name fool you here because this is one of the strongest relics you can get yet. The Retro Lancer Relic allows you to fire explosive shots that do AoE damage. It is located close to the COG wall which you can find in Act II, Chapter 4.

The exact location of this relic is close to the frozen lake. Once you get there, look for some rocks which have a Locust symbol on them. When you find it, just look around for a little bit and you will be good to go.

Hammerburst Relic

This is a very strong relic which allows you to do a lot more damage than usual. In order to use it, just pull the trigger and your bursting fire will be a lot longer than usual.

Unlike the other relics on this list, The Hammerburst Relic can be found in Chapter one of Act III. Once you get the Skiff, mount it up and go towards the City Ruins. When you get there, look for a big gate with a Locust symbol on it - this is where you can find the relic.

Overkill Relic

The last relic on your list for today is the Overkill one. It allows you to have a fully automatic shooting, making it pretty suitable for its name.

Similar to the one above, you can find it in the first chapter of Act III. Again, hop on the skiff and go towards the Bridge Control House where you will find a couple of pile of rocks. Search them and you will find the relic there.
