Microsoft and The Coalition announced that all Xbox One owners with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription will be able to participate in public technical testing of the Gears 5 multiplayer mode.

The game client is already available for download — the servers have been launched today (07/25) at 7 PM CEST (10 AM PDT) and will remain up and running until Monday.

The Coalition will be partying up with players and answering their questions during the developer stream scheduled for Friday 4:15 PM PDT (Saturday, 1:15 AM CEST)

Users are offered to get acquainted with Arcade, King of the Hill and Escalation modes. Taking into account the press’ mixed reviews regarding the new iteration of the once-popular franchise, it might be better to get yourself familiar with the project before making any decisions to buy.

Gears 5 will be released on September 10 for Xbox One and PC, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership owners can play the game from September 6.
