Gameloft Studio, who captured a huge piece of the mobile game market, decided to burst into esports racing. The company has signed a partnership with Black Shark, a manufacturer of gaming smartphones, to hold its own tournament, Asphalt Esports Series 2019. Players will compete in the Asphalt 9: Legends discipline (mobile racing, you know). The championship final is scheduled to be held at Gamescom in Germany.

Qualifying matches will begin on May 20th. Players from France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States can take part. The best drivers will reach the finals, where they will fight for a prize pool of €20,000.

Asphalt 9: Legends has already been included as one of three mobile games at the ESL Mobile Open. There will be a total of three seasons of this tournament in 2019. The first live event will take place from May 31 to June 2 as part of DreamHack Dallas. Two other championship games are PUBG Mobile and Clash of Clans.

Despite the apparent failure of mobile gaming, it continues to evolve. The market is growing and gives developers a good profit, which helps them move on.

And how do you feel about playing tournaments on smartphones? Are you ready to watch a player enter the stage with an epic music accompaniment? Everything explodes and shakes around him, spotlights shine. A pro player pulls out his phone from his pocket and begins to look intently at him, while the hall stands still waiting for a miracle.
