Gambit Esports and Positive Guys qualify for MDL Chengdu Major

At the MDL Chengdu Major CIS Qualifier, Gambit Esports defeated Positive Guys 2-1 in the Upper Bracket Finals to qualify for the Major. Facing Old but Gold in the Lower Bracket Finals, Positive Guys beat them 2-0 to win the second qualifier spot.

Old but Gold, HellRaisers, Virtus.pro, and jfshfh178 are presently competing in the DOTA Summit 11 CIS Qualifiers. The top two teams will make it into The Summit 11, which is holding in Los Angeles from November 7-10. So far, jfshfh178  have sent HellRaisers to Lower Bracket Round 1, while Virtus.pro gives Old but Gold a hard time in the semifinals.

In a surprising turn of events, Natus Vincere failed to qualify for the Major and The Summit Qualifiers. During the Group Stage, they secured two draws and lost two matches, which prevented them from entering the Playoffs.

Gambit Esports and Positive Guys will join the remaining MDL Chengdu Major teams in China for the main event. The Major will be held from November 16-24, featuring a $1 million prize pool and 15,000 DPC points.
