Fuudo holds wedding reception the FGC way ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Marriage is the union between two people as partners, and the big day is one they hope to cherish forever. The couple often set the big event against a themed backdrop they love, and Cygames player Keita "Fuudo" Ai did just that.

Fuudo met his bride, gravure model, actress, and G-Star Gaming player, Yuka Kuramochi, in an arcade about a decade ago when Street Fighter IV was his game of choice. They shared their special something with their special someone, the wedding taking place on the backdrop of a Street Fighter V theme that would make any FGC fan proud.

The wedding reception was streamed on Twitch with commentary and the couple even walked out to the Street Fighter IV theme, "Indestructible." The stream featured commentary, Fuudo cooking for his bride, the cutting of the cake, and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition matches. The cake itself had the SFV logo and R. Mika on it.

Also in attendance was a who's who of Japan's fighting game pro players, including Daigo "The Beast" Umehara, Yusuke "Momochi" Momochi and his wife Yuko "ChocoBlanka" Kusachi, Ryota "Kazunoko" Inoue, Atsushi "Fujimura" Fujimura, Naoki "Nemo" Nemoto, Goichi "GO1" Kishida, Ryo "Dogura" Nozaki, and others. They all played a series of best-of-one matches in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition to complete the experience. Even Fuudo joined in the fun.

To commemorate the occasion, popular Capcom illustrator Akira "Akiman" Yasuda created a wedding sign which featured the couple in a picture alongside Chun-Li, Ryu, and R. Mika. The two-hour stream was hosted on Fuudo's Twitch channel, depicting the love members of the FGC have for their games and each other.

Fuudo and Yuka were officially married in a traditional ceremony back in November 2019. Once more, we wish the couple long-lasting marital bliss, and may they never drop their combo.
