Brazilian esports organisation, FURIA have announced the signing of Henrique "HEN1" Teles. He makes the move after his release from Luminosity.
HEN1 takes Rinaldo "ableJ" Moda Junior's place on the team after the latter was recently benched. It represents the first major change to FURIA's roster since October 2018 when ableJ joined the team from the academy squad to replace Guilherme "spacca" Spacca.
Since FURIA's DreamHack Masters Dallas 3rd-4th finish and ECS Season 7 Finals 2nd place finish, the team's performance has drastically dropped at big events. They were eliminated from StarLadder Major in the New Challengers Stage and finished 9th-12th at ESL One Cologne. FURIA also recently lost to Sprout at the Games Clash Masters which came as quite the surprise.
Following the release of the entire Luminosity roster, HEN1 has made the move to FURIA to hopefully change the new team's fortune. One of his biggest accolades is from when he played with Immortals, earning them a runner-up finish at PGL Major Krakow 2017.
FURIA will show off its new roster at DreamHack Masters Malmö, which begins in October. They will face G2 in their first match of the event.
