In an effort to promote the healthy dialogue between Epic Games and professional players, sixteen pro players have created the Fortnite Professional Players Association.
Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf and his fellows hope that this will help bridge the gap, considering Epic has been accused of not listening to players on numerous occasions. With all the money Epic throws at the game through tournaments, it would appear that Fortnite pros would much rather seek dialogue than move on to games with more accommodating developers.
The association will provide Epic with valuable feedback which should help the game continue to grow in a manner that is favorable to its players.
The FNPPA presently comprises of eight players from Europe and North America each. More professionals are expected to join over time, but here is a list of the current members:
Zayt - NRG Esports
Elevate - 100 Thieves
Megga - FaZe Clan
ZexRow - Team SoloMid
Bizzle - Ghost Gaming
Bugha - Sentinels
Cented - Team Liquid
Leno - Counter Logic Gaming
Benjyfishy - NRG Esports
Boyer - Eleven Gaming
Rojo - LZR Clan
Aqua - Cooler Esports
Khuna
Motor - Fnatic
Kinstaar - Solary
Skite - LeStream Esport
Ideally, the association will negotiate for things like contract standards, tournament formats, scheduling and such on behalf of competitive Fortnite players. However, their existence won't make much of a difference to casual players.
How well they are able to interact with Epic Games remains to be seen, but the association is a good step in the right direction.
