Fortnite Season 6: a floating island, new skins, emotes and cosmetics

If you thought Season 5 content in Fortnite was great, season 6 goodies will blow your mind. Epic Games unrolls Season 6 with plethora of new items and map changes.

First things first. As usual, Season 6 Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks which is approximately $10. Battle Pass gives players access to exclusive content such as skins, cosmetic items, outfits and other things distributed among 100 tiers. Upon purchasing Battle Pass players instantly unlock 2 special outfits — Calamity and DJ Yonder.

Pets

The game introduces new pets that “are always by your side, reacting to the different situations you find yourself in”. From what we can see in the introduction video below, at the beginning there will be at least 2 doggo pets and 2 dragon pets.

Music Packs

Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass includes 3 music packs. The first one, Squeaky Clean is unlocked at level 13.

At level 53 there is an unnamed pack, but the artwork hints at Halloween theme

Players from earlier days should enjoy OG (Remix) pack, which is a new take on the original main menu music theme available on tier 92.

A FLOATING ISLAND

Fortnite map now has an island floating on top of the mysterious purple cube, and players can get on it by jumping up from a vortex in the place where Loot Lake used to be. See some streamers’ reaction to the map changes:
