In a never-ending effort to update Fortnite on a regular basis, Epic Games has released the patch v.9.10 with a plentiful of new content and engaging events. This time, players can expect a themed activity for Creative, and it’s one of the few times when this particular part of Fortnite has been treated with such a level of dedication.

But first things first, and the obvious centre of attention is the Battle Royale section of the game. Epic has introduced so-called Hot Spots – random areas on the game map that feature increased loot drop rate and high density of special item drones. Called Loot Carriers, these drones are ultimately the main reason to drop in Hot Spots – they contain weapons of high rarity along with a couple of ammo stacks. It’s rather obvious what’s been the source of inspiration for the developers – the overall idea strongly reminds hot spots in Apex Legends with Loot Ticks and legendary weapons, although Fortnite has a difference of a reasonably high amount of those Carriers. Each Hot Spot (there might be up to three on the map, although the probability of such scenario is just 5%) will feature 12 to 16 Loot Carriers with each of them containing at least a Rare quality weapon. Sounds like a place for an early round massacre.

Creative is honoured by the recent patch in a big way. Epic Games has released a themed event called Creative X Jordan by community creators NotNellaf and Tollmolia. It’s a race for coins of sorts, and it is strongly inspired by New York City and its urban culture. There’re special challenges and rewards – including colourful outfits – to keep players engaged.

As always, you can find the detailed patch notes via the respective link, while a bit of additional specific information regarding the Creative X Jordan event is available through here. Moreover, we have covered the event in our dedicated article.
