The rumours have turned out to be true and Artem "fng" Barshak has been removed from NaVi

The rumours have turned out to be true and Artem "fng" Barshak has been removed from NaVi with the organisation claiming his removal has nothing to do with "level of game performance", but that the "total amount of losses has gone beyond the limit." Taking his place is Arthur "Goblak" Kostenko, who was tipped to join the team earlier in the year.

FNG (middle) was part of the D2CL winning roster last weekend

Since Fng joined Navi the team has played 112 matches, with a 62% win average and a record of 70 wins and 42 losses. Aside from their first place at the D2CL, the team failed to deliver any silverware at LAN events they qualified for such as StarLadder X, ESL New York, WEC and WCA.

The Navi statement included the following:

We changed our Dota 2 squad 2 months ago. Today we are ready to announce new changes in it. Unfortunately notwithstanding the last victory at D2CL, the total amount of losses has gone beyond the limit.

We have to inform that Artem "fng" Barshak does leave our team to be replaced by Arthur "Goblak" Kostenko. We are very grateful to Artem that he accepted our invitation in the past and we are very sorry that we have to part with him so soon. Artem is a great player with a significant potential. He'll surely have a brilliant e-sports career.

This decision has nothing to do with Artem's level of game performance, the results at D2CL proving that. However the squad's results of the last tournaments showed that the team has lacked the leader's decisions lately.

ua Goblak who now joins Navi as the captain and drafter has competed for a whole host of teams including Empire, DTS, Quantic and more recently Virtus.Pro. He was also the brains behind NVMI who were later recruited to become Virtus.Pro Polar.

New Navi line-up:

Gleb "Funn1k" Lipatnikov
Daniil "Dendi" Ishutin
Alexanger "ХВОСТ" Dashkevich
Arthur "Goblak" Kostenko (Captain)
Ivan "Vanskor" Skorohod
