Last weekend marked the end of ESL Pro League Season 11 Europe, which saw the former champions Fnatic take on the reigning champs, mousesports in the Grand Finals.
The best-of-five match was a back-and-forth demonstration of CS:GO skill. The teams knew exactly what they were doing with their map picks, as these were straight wins for both of them. However, mousesports continued the momentum it had built in the second map, Dust II, to win the third as well.
Fnatic wasn’t having any of that, though. On map four, Nuke, it seemed like mousesports were a completely different team, managing to secure only one bomb plant before losing to Fnatic, 16-1. Now equalized, both sides had all their hopes hinged on the final map, Mirage. In the first half, Fnatic had a hard time playing the defensive game, but by the second half, they went on the offensive. After a lot more back-and-forth, Fnatic was able to use its deeper in-game pockets to secure the map and their victory.
Here are the top 4 standings at ESL Pro League Season 11 Europe:
- Fnatic - $110,000
- mousesports - $65,000
- Astralis - $53,000
- Natus Vincere - $43,000
FaZe Clan and OG came close but finished in 5th and 6th place, respectively, while Chinese organization TYLOO took up the rear alongside ENCE and BIG with a 16-18 finish.
