Fnatic have announced that they are dropping Jimmy "DeMoN" Ho, Marc Polo "Raven" Luis Fausto and Nico "eyyou" Barcelon from their roster.

The organization will focus on rebuilding around both Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung and Chong Xin "Ohaiyo" Khoo. The two Malaysian veteran players have been with the organization since Fnatic returned to Dota 2 in June 2015 by signing Team Malaysia. The team saw solid growth throughout the year, progressing from a disappointing 13th-16th place finish at TI5 to attending all three Majors to taking took 4th at TI6.

After TI6, the team looked to rebuild, losing Djardel Jicko B. "DJ" Mampusti to Execration and Zheng "MidOne" Yeik Nai to Team Secret, while Adam "343" Shah left to take a brief break from Dota. 343 has since returned to be a sub on Execration’s roster.

DeMoN, Raven and eyyou all came from TnC, the team that upset OG in the TI6 lower bracket and went on to take 7th-8th at the event. The roster looked promising, but after taking fourth place at MPGL in early September, results never improved and Fnatic were unable to qualify for any LAN events. The squad was directly invited to ESL One Genting, and while it is not clear whether Fnatic will attend given roster changes, ESL tweeted the roster news, saying “Can't wait to find out what the squad for #ESLOne Genting will look like!”

"With such a weighty reshuffle after the Major teething problems were to be expected, but as progress has stuttered it is clear that a new direction is needed," said the organization in a statement.

DeMoN made the move to Southeast Asia to be a part of Fnatic, and he has confirmed that he will be returning to the USA now that he is no longer with the team. “Thank you Fnatic for giving me the opportunity but now I'll be open as a free agent and looking for a new team,” he said.
