Five DPC Week 5 Major Matches

Five DPC matches worth watching! Week Five.

Dota Pro Circuit 2021 is slowly heading towards the end of the Group Stage! It's Week Five, and once again we make a list of top-notch matches of the upcoming week that you might not want to miss! And even though there is only one game of the EU region (because seriously, can it have uneventful and boring games?), there are a lot of different matches in other regions that will definitely grant you emotions and drama. Let's go!

Vikin.gg (2-3) - Alliance (3-2)

When: February 17, 18:00 CET

Vikings are finally gaining momentum. They were able to beat OG last week, although they had lost to High Coast just before. Now this team needs to take all possible points, but Alliance will not give up just like that: Limmp and fng are currently at their peak, so a very tight battle awaits us in which Vikin.gg will either move closer to their dream or will practically lose the chances of success...

Neon Esports (5-0) - Fnatic (4-1)

When: February 18, 12:00 CET

Southeast Asia, Upper Division. A clash between two leaders. If Neon Esports win, they are in the Singapore Major playoffs. Fnatic, on the other hand, has two difficult meetings against Neon and TNC Predator (3-2). These are quite opponents, so the Oranges can easily drop out of the top 3 if they allow themselves to relax. For this reason, we'll have a very important and, let's hope, spectacular match.

Evil Geniuses (5-0) - Quincy Crew (4-0)

When: February 18, 21:00 CET

Finally, the two strongest teams of North America will determine the best. These teams have last played in June 2020, and since then there were a lot of changes for Evil Geniuses: RAMZES666 left, they returned overseas after a not very successful European tour. Quincy Crew took the throne while the kings were off. EG win – they get to the Major, Quincy Crew win – they also do, but the difference is that EG might reach straight to the playoffs, and they definitely will want to get their spot.

Virtus.pro (5-0) - NoTechies (1-4)

When: February 19, 15:00 CET

It's not Solo's first match against Virtus.pro: in November, Just Error lost 1:2, and the stack disbanded afterward. However, it's the DPC and the new team. This match was picked for the drama and human emotions more than for the clinical and tactical Dota: most likely, VP will get 2-0 without any troubles.

Team Unknown (3-2) - SG e-sports (3-2)

When: February 21, 00:00 CET

In SA, beastcoast are ruling them all. But the battle for second place is not over yet: Team Unknown and SG e-sports are now tied for 2-4 places with Thunder Predator, and only one of these teams will go to Singapore. Considering this fact, a face-to-face meeting is extremely important. Surely, the Brazilians are better at this point, but the Peruvians won't give up that easily!
