Seoul Dynasty’s aggressive main tank, Baek “Fissure” Chan-hyung has retired from the Overwatch League. No specific reason has been given as to why the sudden retirement, but the team still has alternate main tank Hwang “Marve1” Min-seo to rely on.
Fissure initially played for the Los Angeles Gladiators in OWL season one, but later left for London Spitfire. It is believed he made the move from the desire to play in an all-Korean team. It was from London Spitfire he came to join Seoul Dynasty.
Yet, his decision was not completely out of the blue. Days prior to his retirement, he had voiced concerns over his place in OWL . Fissure said, “it's not about whether I'm good or bad at playing, its that I can tangibly feel that I've lost a lot of my passion to work hard or to play hard in anticipation for matches, and I think I need some time to gather+organize such thoughts that I'm having as a pro gamer.”
