Fire Pro Wrestling World director, Tomoyuki Matsumoto, has shared the 2020 roadmap of the game. The release plan runs from January through to Spring 2020.
The roadmap is as follows:
January 2020
Yoshihiro Takayama Charity DLC - Part 2
The second charity DLC created to support wrestler Yoshihiro Takayama with his rehabilitation contains TAKAYAMANIA-themed rings, team logos, and new edit wrestler parts for the chest. The Yoshihiro Takayama Charity DLC - Part 1, was released on December 18, 2017, and has raised about ¥3,840,000 as of September 2019. Spike Chunsoft will donate all its revenue for the DLC to TAKAYAMANIA, the foundation created to help Mr. Takayama and his family.
Additional Wrestler DLC
Another batch of wrestler DLC is being created, with more details arriving in January.
February 2020
The new Fire Pro scenario, “The Vanishing,” being created by Goichi "Suda51" Suda, was initially planned for a 2019 release, but development issues forced it to next year. Note that those who have purchased the PlayStation 4 season pass will receive The Vanishing at no extra charge.
The story revolves around Morio Sumisu’s son. After his wrestler father tragically dies at the top of his game, Sumisu's progeny must set out to find his glory in the ring. That is if he can survive the pitfalls that led to his father's death.
Spring 2020
Update Patch
The PlayStation 4 wrestler edit cap will receive an increase.
Parts and Move Craft Modes
Both modes will enable players to create their own custom wrestler parts and moves. It's like the Fire Pro tool shed of content.
Bug fixes and balancing
With all the new content out of the way, the rest of the game's support will focus on improving the quality of DLC, bug fixes and game balances.
Fire Pro Wrestling World launched in Steam Early Access on July 11, 2017. The full PC release followed on December 18, 2017, while the PlayStation 4 release was on August 28, 2018.
