Finally, Some Street Fighter V Season 4 News ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

After months of silence, underwhelming updates and loads of speculation, we now know for a fact that Street Fighter V will be getting some exciting new season 4 content. The news is courtesy of Yoshinori Ono, the game’s producer who teased announcements at Evo 2019 in August.

Street Fighter V was released in 2016, and even with its shaky start, it has been able to keep things interesting with constant updates on upcoming content. That is, until the present season 4 which began in January with the release of Kage and major balance changes.

There was a bit of apprehension when the official Street Fighter Twitter account announced on December 17th 2018 that there would no longer be a season pass with its pack of 6 new characters. The season pass served as not just a discount but also a sign of what to expect in the near future. Without it, fans fly blind until Capcom feel the need to update us on what is to come.

Since then the community has been rife with all sorts of speculation, ranging from Capcom’s plans to release less than 6 characters this year to the possible adoption of a free-to-play model and the dreaded likelihood that the development was winding down early.

Back in February, data miner named Yurinka from Resetera was able to discover the existence of 5 new characters, secondary V-skills, alternate costumes and a few stages. Yet, even this knowledge couldn't quell the negative conjecture since the discovered data in video game code doesn't always make the release.

We are left with about two months and a half to let our collective imaginations go wild until Evo 2019. Which characters will we get, was Yurinka spot on and how much will it cost us?
