Introduction
There are many amazing aspects of Final Fantasy XV which make it one very interesting game. One of them has to be the various rare items that are spread throughout the game. Having said that, the Cactuar Needle is one of the rarest items of all. There are many people who have been playing the game for ages and they still have no idea where or how to get this item.
Apart from being super rare, the Cactuar Needle is needed for a quest called “A Better Crossbow Quest”. It is given by Cid the mechanic in the Hammerhead Outpost. When he gets the item, he can use it to upgrade the Auto Crossbow that Noctis is carrying with him.
However, all this information will be useful only if you can actually obtain the item. This where this guide will come in handy.
Final Fantasy XV Cactuar Needle Location
The easiest way to find the precious item is just to talk to the Tipster. He is located in the outpost north of the Lestallum City, Once you get there, you need to go to the Medacio Hunter Headquarters and you should be able to see him somewhere there.
Once you talk to him, he will give you the locations to some nearby treasures. Go on and open them until you find the Cactuar Needle.
After you’re done, head over to the bridge over the Rosorath Basin. Once you pass it, there will be a big rock that is situated somewhere around the highway. Climb on it and you`ll see once more Cactus Needle just waiting there for you. However, it is very important that you do all the mentioned above during the daytime. If you at night, there is a high chance that you may get attacked by an Iron Giant.
Other ways of getting the precious item
Apart from the mentioned above, you can also get a Cactuar Needle if you manage to kill a Cactuar. However, this is definitely easier said than done. The Cactuars are incredibly rare but if you are able to kill them, you`ll be rewarded with tons of experience points. The tricky part is that they are very agile which makes them very hard to kill. In fact, if you are not quick enough, they will be able to easily escape.
