Fighting game mod roundup II

Fighting game mod roundup II ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!
This week we focus our mod selection on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Street Fighter V. I've split my picks between recreations of iconic game characters and popular faces from a few animated shows.
Without further ado, here's my fighting game mod roundup for this week:
Rumi Usagiyama

Let's kick things off with some anime, and what better than My Hero Academia? THE JAMK appears to be a big fan as they've made another mod from the Japanese IP. This time we get Rumi "Mirko" Usagiyama, the Pro Hero who THE JAMK has turned into a Juri skin. The character choice makes a lot of sense, as both are melee fighters that attack mostly with their legs. While Rumi's skin does look a bit shiny, her presence in Street Fighter V changes things up nicely.
Other My Hero Academia characters THE JAMK has created mods for are Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, the protagonist, and Toshinori "All Might" Yagi his mentor. Check out the gallery here for more great mods.
Megumin

Here's another anime mod by Endersheep12345, who turns Super Smash Bros. Ultimate challenger Palutena into Megumin from the Konosuba series. While the Arch Wizard does look like she needs a bit more polish, she still makes an excellent substitute for the Kid Icarus character. They both fight with staffs, but Megumin has no use for a shield. Its also cool that she gets to cast a miniature version of her signature spell, Explosion!
You can find the Megumin mod and more of Endersheep12345's work here.
Cammy S.T.A.R.S.

Game modder DanteSDT decided to merge two Capcom IPs, and while the character chosen doesn't have the same physical prowess as Cammy, I doubt anyone would complain about her inclusion. I'm talking about Jill Valentine, a long time Resident Evil character that was in the first game and has continued to survive every nightmare thrown at her. DanteSDT seems to take their cue from the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis game, with her blue tank top and a sweater tied around her waist.
You can find more of DanteSDT's handiwork over here, while the Cammy mod is over here.
Ken Scorpion

Street Fighter's Ken dons Scorpion's classic uniform from one of his old Mortal Kombat designs, and the modder responsible for this revival is babyjoe00069. A tweaked version of their previous Reptile costume, this mod is a much better fit for Ken, being that both characters share a love for setting people on fire.
Many of babyjoe00069's mods recreate characters from comic books, video games, and other pop culture goodness. You can find the Street Fighter V Scorpion mod here, and babyjoe00069's profile right here.
Captain Rex: Star Wars

The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate skin on our list is for Zero Suit Samus, whose mod transforms her into Captain Rex of the Star Wars franchise. The veteran Clone Captain, Commander, and Advanced Recon Commando, formerly known as CT-7567, makes his unofficial Super Smash Bros. Ultimate debut in this mod by Jack Hewn. The hero is dressed in his complete combat armor, but I would have loved to see a helmetless version as well.
The mod is a great first attempt by the creator Jack Hewn, which you can find here.
SpongeBob over Lucas

Last on the list is another Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mod, this time for everyone's favorite resident of Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob SquarePants. It's credited to two creators, Miguel92398, who rigged and imported the model, and LN_310_SSBU, who made the UI. However, the Nickelodeon sensation doesn't come with any additional colors and takes up the first slot.
You can get your hands on the SpongeBob character mod here under Miguel92398's creations, with the creator's profile is here.
So that's this week's fighting games mod roundup, which touches upon popular properties in anime, manga, cartoons, and video games. Hope you liked it and see you in the next one.
