FIFA 20: Volta Mode Overview ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!
FIFA 20 brings many new things to the table which will definitely make it one of the best games yet in the entire franchise. Starting from the 27th of September, everyone who wants's to take part in the latest football adventure can now buy the standard edition and dive in the action.
Apart from the various new techniques, game mechanics, teams and leagues, there are also a couple of new modes. Needless to say, some of them are definitely going to be a huge success.
Today, we will take a look at Volta. On paper, this seems to be the most interesting mode because it features a very different type of FIFA experience compared to the previous versions. Let's see what to expect.
What is it Volta all about?
The idea behind Volta is to take a step back from the pitch & all the famous teams and players. Here, you will be able to create your very own "streetball" player who has the uneasy task to find himself a crew. Think of it as a "campaign" where you can do various stuff, including changing your own crew whenever it's necessary.
Apart from playing in the story mode, you can choose between playing a quick solo game, go online against other players or the Volta Tour, which is probably the most fun thing to do. Last, but definitely not least, you can also take part in the Online Season mode. However, it is advisable to get familiar with the new mode and game mechanics first because the players who are playing in the Season mode are most likely going to be pretty good at it.
Different Styles in Volta & Other New Stuff
There are a couple of available styles for you to choose from in the Volte mode. One of them is the so-called "street with keepers", which is basically playing street football with a dedicated goalkeeper. That said, if you find this boring, you can try the "first in rush keeper", which is super fun. Here, there is no goalie but instead, the player who is near the net can also act as a goalkeeper whenever it's needed. It's pretty fun and we definitely advise you to try it out, especially if you want to try something new.
There are a couple of more styles which you can choose from, so be sure to check them out!
- Different pitch sizes - As you probably guessed, Volta also has different pitch sizes. In fact, there are 3 in total and each of them is unique in their own way.
- Team Compositions - This is one of the most important aspects of FIFA 20 but it's exceptionally important in Volta. Unlike the regular mode, shooting in Volta is a lot harder, which means that you need to get bloody good at it in order to stand a chance. The same applies to the defense - it's not really the most fun thing in a world but it's needed. That said, be sure to pick players who have a very good finishing and/or defending capabilities in order to have an easier time.
- Auto skill - Since Volta is a lot harder to play compared to the regular mode, each player can "order" his player to perform a random cool move. This is very good for the new players who are still learning the game.
- Customizing - Needless to say, you can make your character absolutely unique. There are thousands of different options to choose from and all of them are pretty cool.
