FIFA 20: Career Mode Overview - What's New

Introduction

FIFA 20 is finally out! After months of waiting, players can now experience the newest game from EA Sports. At first glance, it has all the potential to become one of the best FIFA's ever made because there are tons of new stuff. Apart from having new players, leagues, and teams, there are also various new changes in the overall gameplay such as free-kicks taking and more.

Having said that, definitely the most notable changes are related to the new modes. One of them is Career and it's probably the one that will be tried out by the vast majority of players.

Customizing the manager

Career mode existed in FIFA's previous versions. However, for the first time ever, you will have the chance to customize your very own manager. You can choose a different hair and skin color, cloths and even a certain body type. Basically everything you can expect from a game made in 2019. Of course, this wouldn't be complete without the final addition - you can now even have a female manager! 

Facing the Media

The Career mode in FIFA 20 now even allows you to hold press conferences. Even though you might think they are useless, they have an impact on the morale of your team as well as their performance. You can inspire them a lot by saying the right words at the right moment. However, you can also easily demoralize them if you don't choose your words carefully.

Basically, every decision and action you take in the career mode has its consequences.

Player Potentials

For the first time ever, you can even take control of your players' potential by using the Dynamic Player Potential. If they play well during games, their player potential will grow a lot. However, if they don't, it will not change at all. This is definitely a cool bonus to have because it gives you more control.

Chatting with the players

This is related to the media thing we mentioned above in terms of the fact that you need to choose your words carefully. That said, you can use the individual chat with a certain player in order to help him overcome an issue, which will definitely have a positive impact on his performance.

General Changes

Here are a couple of overall changes that have been made to the Career Mode in FIFA 20. Keep it in mind that they are subject to change in some of the future updates.

• You can now disable the international management job offers upon starting a new career
• The ethnicity of the young players are supposedly "improved" within a country
• The initial wage budget has been increased.
