João "felps" Vasconcellos joins Luminosity in a loan swap deal that has LUCAS1 take his place over at MIBR. He joins the team to be reunited with his former Immortal teammates. All members of the present Luminosity roster were signed to Immortals during his time with the team, except for Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato.
This level of familiarity with the team should help felps as his performance of late hasn't been too good. The Brazilian professional CS:GO player has several big wins under his belt but those were all pre-2018.
Favourable results like coming 3rd-4th at Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Katowice Major 2019, 3rd-4th in Intel Extreme Masters Sydney and 3rd place BLAST Pro Series Miami were marred by huge defeats in between. MIBR lost all 5 matches during BLAST Pro Series São Paulo and after just two matches, was eliminated in the Esports Championship Series.
Since Luminosity won't be competing in Intel Extreme Masters Chicago and failed to qualify for the Americas Minor Championship, the team will most likely spend its time at home honing its skills in preparation for their next tournament. The loan period is believed to end after StarLadder Major.
