Fans ask Bethesda to feature the popular "Skyrim granny" in TES 6

Two years ago Shirley Curry suddenly became a true YouTube celebrity gathering emails from thousands of fans. What's the deal here? Well, at the moment she uploaded her first Skyrim video she was 80 years old. That's right, discovered by a Reddit user Shirley accidentally faced amazing popularity among gamers.

She mostly plays Skyrim as well as some other games and has gathered almost half a million subscribers on YouTube. Shirley has a wonderful personality for which she is sincerely loved by her fans. This sweet old lady has recently commented a video featuring some speculation on the possible The Elder Scrolls 6 release date. The author of the video claims - judging by Bethesda comments on the matter - that we'll have to wait until at least 2024 to see the game in its fully released glory. Shirley was devastated by the news and frankly stated the fact that she might already be dead by then:

Well, I guess that puts the nail in my coffin, literally!!! When Skyrim 6 comes out I'll be 88!! So I probably won't get to play it, so I'm going to quit dreaming for it!!! :(

Sad part aside, don't you just love the way she says Skyrim 6 instead of TES 6? The worried gaming community responded in the most lovely possible way to Shirley's concerns by starting a petition to immortalize granny Curry in upcoming TES 6. Yet again, it all started with a Reddit thread where fans expressed their thoughts on the matter. There're a few propositions made by them including the idea to make Shirley an NPC, or name a location after her, or even a weapon - Bethesda is known for the way it immortalized its fan Erik West in-game, and gamers obviously want the same level of recognition and treatment for their idol Shirley.

That being said, petition doesn't guarantee that Bethesda is going to react in any way - and it hasn't reached 15,000 signatures yet. That's why fans are already working with the resources they have - by creating a mod for Skyrim with the sweet old lady as a companion. She herself has granted fans her permission to do so and even expressed the interest to record the dialogue lines. Shirley's fans are all grandkids to her, and they behave appropriately doing their best to help their beloved granny.
