A Reddit user u/Lukkegg predicted the correct date of Fallout 76 release almost 2 years ago. He confidently wrote “willing to bet anyone money that Fallout 5 releases 11.13.2018.”
It’s a bold prediction and a very accurate one, which leads us to believe that Bethesda somehow had leaked the release date.
Fallout 76 was announced during E3 conference in June. Before that, there were only rumors regarding the date of the next release and players were very worried that new Fallout may be postponed. It was widely known that Bethesda was working on The Elder Scrolls VI, and it painted a grim timeline for Fallout 5 (aka 76). Some people were even sure that the game will see the light of day not earlier than 2023.
The puzzle of the next Fallout game was also quite complex because Bethesda Studios isn’t the only company that released titles for this series. In 2010 Obsidian Entertainment produced Fallout: New Vegas, an independent installation that took place in the same universe and belonged to the same type of games.
This means that an analyst wouldn’t get reliable data by the following social media of Bethesda employees or looking into its financial reports. If the game can be made by an independent studio, you need to have concrete insider data to know if it’s in the works right now.
