Fallout 4 is one of the coolest games when it comes down to the pure open-world environment type of gameplay. However, in order to survive and eventually do what needs to be done in the game, you will need to have a proper weapon and ammo. Here is where the Mini Nukes and the Fat Man come in handy.

The Mini Nukes are a special type of ammo (basically, they look like small nuclear warheads) used by the Fat Man, a cool atomic bomb launcher that does pretty significant damage as well. In fact, it is the most powerful weapon in the game because you can pretty much kill anything with it. Even against the most dangerous enemies, all you need is two or three shots. Still, finding ammunition is definitely easier said than done. That's why it is important to know where to look for the Mini Nukes in Fallout 4.

Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Mini Nukes Locations in Fallout 4

There are several types of players in Fallout 4. Some of them prefer to find things on their own, whereas others just want to know where a specific thing is. If you are one of the first types, here are a couple of tips which you mind find useful.

First, you need to check any military installations which you go to. After all, you are looking for ammunition.

The same applies to the raider's bases. You can find many cool things there and who knows, you might be in for a surprise.

Last, but definitely not least, be sure to kill suicide bomber super mutants before they blow up.

Now, if you are the second type of player, here are some of the most common locations where you can find the Mini Nuke.

 Outpost Zimonja

Outpost Zimonja is one of the first places where you can go to. In fact, there is one raider there who also happens to have a Fat Man. His name is Boomer and, well, let's just say that he is not famous for his hospitality. In fact, he will pretty much kill you on the spot if you go near him.

However, he has only one Mini Nuke to use, which means that you need to take him out BEFORE he uses it. There are many ways in which you can do this but probably the best one is to just sneak behind him. Whatever you do, just don't give him the chance to fire.

Robotics Disposal Ground

The next Mini Nuke is located in the Robotics Disposal Ground. Just go to the right once you enter from the main entrance and you will find there on the ground.

 Cabot House

The Cabot House is also a fairly popular place where you can find the Mini Nukes. Needless to say,  it is kind of hard to enter there. That's why it is a wise idea to use the intercom to get it. Once inside, go through the door which is located under the stairs and then on to the basement. From there, enter a small bedroom on the left and you will see the Nuke there. Oh, one last thing, this is a straightforward steal so beware.

Fort Hagen

This is definitely a little bit more tricky compared to the ones we looked at so far. In fact, you can only obtain this Nuke during and after the main quest of the mission where you are looking for Kellog. When you go inside, check the armory which is locked behind an export terminal.

BADTFL Regional Office

This is one of the easiest places where you can find the Nukes. All you have to do is just enter and then go straight through the door. After that, take the right turn and you will reach a big room with bars inside. Congratulations, this is where you need to be.

Boston Mayoral Shelter

The Boston Mayoral Shelter is also a cool place where you can find a Mini Nuke. When you go there, head out to the basketball court which is inside the shelter. From there, look for a small entrance which a door right next to it. Take the door and just look around a little bit until you see the Nuke on a shelf there.

Quincy Ruins

Quincy Ruins, apart from being somewhat beautiful in a mysterious way, is also a pretty useful place. In fact, there is a raider on the roof of the church there who goes by the name Baker.  Again, he is not the type of guy to mess around because he has three mini-Nukes on him which you can use. In order to do so, you need to take him out before he shoots. There are several ways in which you can do this - either by sneaking around or just kill him from a good distance. Remember, safety first!

South Boston Military Checkpoint

Besides serving as a checkpoint, you can get some pretty cool stuff here. Once you go there, you will find a cage with Power Armor behind the building. Just on the right of the power armor, you will find a mini-nuke in the ground. Yet, in order to get it, you need to hack the expert terminal so that the cage can open.

Fort Strong

Fort Strong is a pretty unique place because there are many things to do here. When you first enter, pick the lock there and go to the right. From there, you will go on to meet two "people" (more like mutants). They are pretty hard to kill but you should be able to do so if you are smart enough.

After that, there will be another door for you to pick, which will allow you to enter the office located in the south-western corner. The Nuke will be inside in a display case right in the center of the room.

These are some of the most popular locations. Go there and start to explore!
