Fallout 4: Best Power Armor - Where to find the X-01

Introduction

Fallout 4 has many cool items that can help you a lot while playing. However, if there is one type of armor that stands out, it has to be the Power Armor suits. There are many different options to choose from but the best is called X-01 Power Armor and it is basically the most advanced and powerful Power Armor suit which you can obtain in Fallout 4.

Needless to say, this suit is very rare so there are not that many players who actually manage to find it. That's why we decided to do this guide in order to help those who want to have an easier time locating this item.

This guide will help you locate a full suit of X-01 Power Armor with relatively little effort.

Where to find the X-01 Power Armor

This rare armor can be found in a couple of locations across the Fallout 4 universe. It is important to note that you can randomly stumble across some X-01 suits but chances are that they will only contain a couple of parts of it, not the entire thing. That does not mean that this is useless but you won't be able to take full advantage of the power the suit has to offer.

Of course, there is one location where you can find the entire Power Armor suit at once but you need to work a bit in order to do it. Before reading any further, make sure that you are at least level 28 or higher before starting "the hunt". You will have a lot more chances to find the suit if you meet these criteria. It is possible to find it even when you are at a lower level but the chances are very slim.

Your first step towards the prize starts by finding the Custom House Tower which is one the east side of the wasteland very close to Faneuil Hall. When you get near the place, try to find a big road there and just go on it until you reach a building which has a sign on it "35 Court.

However, keep it in mind that as soon as you enter the building, there will be a robot in the lobby which will be more than happy to kill you. That's why you need to take it down before this happens. When you are done, take the elevator and go all the way to the top. Once again, you will have to fight against two enemies there - a Sentry bot and an Assaultron. Needless to say, they are pretty hard to deal with. 

If you managed to survive against the two nasty robots, it is time to see the X-01 Power Armor in its full glory. To do this, try to find a big red button inside the chambers where the two robots stayed before you came. After you press them, the door on the third chamber will open and you will see the armor inside it.

Other places to find the X-01 Power Armor in Fallout 4

Apart from the place mentioned above, there are several more locations where you will be able to find this rare armor. One of them is very close to the Abandoned Shack which is located in the northwest of the Glowing Sea. Unlike the previous place, this is a lot easier because there are no robots there so all you have to do is just go and get it.

The third place is located in the National Guard Training Yard.  However, it is a little bit hard to actually get a hold of the armor there because it is kept safe inside the armory.
When you get there, look for a red metal door but be careful because there will be a couple of Ghouls which you need to fight once you open it. If you manage to survive, you will find another door which seems to have a special type of locking mechanism. In order to open it, you need to have a Master's level of hacking skill. Alternatively, you can also bring Nick Valentien with you and he will be more than happy to open the door for you in case your ability does not have the required level. Once opened, the X-01 suit will be right there waiting to be picked up.

Conclusion

As we mentioned earlier, finding the entire X-01 parts for the suit depends a lot on your level. That's why it is a very wise idea to get as high level as possible before you proceed to look for this suit. Of course, if you do not want to bother waiting, feel free to just go and explore. However, you should keep it in mind that you will probably waste a lot of time which you could have invested in something else.
