F1 Esports Series prize pool is 500k pounds

The new season of "royal virtual racing" in the F1 2018 simulator will delight esportsmen with an increased prize pool. If last year the racers fought for two hundred thousand pounds of prize money, this time the amount will be two and a half times bigger. 

The season's format is as follows: open qualifications, as a result, the fastest drivers will get to a special draft, where real racing teams will be able to choose ones to represent them in the regular season.

From September to December there will be four racing stages in which all teams, except for Ferrari, will exhibit their virtual teams.

The dates for open qualifiers:

• April 8 - 21
• April 22 - May 5
• May 5 - 19

The winners of each qualification will converge in a special mini-tournament for the right to get to the draft — May, 27 to 29.

At the very moment, the only (and back-to-back) champion of the series is Brendon Leigh from Britain.
