More and more often, the virtual races overlap with competitions in real life. Two-times world Formula 1 Esports champion, Brandon Leigh will debut this week in real competitions. Nineteen-year-old Briton will start the Formula Ford 1600 race on the track in Snetterton (Eastern England).

The esportsman will play for the Kevin Mills Racing Team, and he has already spent three days testing. Team owner Kevin Mills notes that the time shown by Leigh on the track is not much different from what the other two drivers show.

"He was fast straight away. He wasn’t too different to my other two drivers really. His laptimes were fairly similar. He’ll go well."

It is curious that over the past year, Leigh has lost more than 20 kg under the supervision of professionals from Mercedes. His physical form is in perfect order, and it will be interesting to see its results.
