At the end of 2018, Turkish organization Space Soldiers and their CS:GO division, lead by veteran Engin"M4J3R" Küpeli did not extend the contract and parted way with immediate effect. In that time, the rumours said that the main star of the squad Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş will leave the team to accept the offer from German Berlin International Gaming (BIG). It really happened and after the Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş departure another long-time member of the squad Engin "ngiN" Kor decided to step down as well and leave the squad with only 3 players.
According to today's news, the Turkish roster seems to be finally complete for the upcoming season, while they added Australian 30-year-old veteran from Renegades, Yaman "yam" Ergenekon and Turkish 19-year-old rising talent from rival Royal Bandits, Ömer"imoRR" Karataş to the roster. The squad is already practising together and the team manager Canpolat 'hardstyle' Yıldıran seems to be really happy what both players brought on the table:
As all of our supporters are worried and questioning our continuation, I believe it is time to announce our new fresh blood and a 5th player with whom we are practising since ngiN stepped down. I must say I am very surprised about the energy he has brought to the team so far and the firepower he awakened in the players. It is no one else but the young rising talent in this scene Ömer "imoRR" Karatas. We will be playing together in ESL Pro League and we are very excited to play together. Welcome to the team imoRR and thank you for accepting this challenge.
The main focus for the squad right now is to find a home and the upcoming ESL Pro League season.
