The Improbable company is the one to create the SpatialOS technology platform, and they have announced the intention to develop their own projects. To accomplish this task, two subsidiary studios will open, and Aaryn Flynn is up to head one of those. Flynn spent 17 years under the wing of Bioware, in recent years served as CEO and worked on Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Dragon Age.
In 2017, he left the team, passing the reins to Casey Hudson. His new studio is already generating the main concept of the future game. The other team of new developers is headed by John Wasilczyk, whose resume includes Call of Duty, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Fortnite. Should we expect something RPGsque but online-oriented?
Improbable has joined Epic Games after a huge scandal over the misuse of the Unity Engine. Future products will be based on Unreal Engine 4 and will most likely appear in the Epic Games Store digital service (though that's not necessary they will be exclusives).
