During the Fortnite World Cup Finals, FaZe Clan announced the signing of its first female esports pro. Soleil “Ewok” Wheeler is a 13-year-old girl with a hearing impairment that has about 200,000 followers on Twitch. “I am so very excited to be in FaZe. Everybody is really wonderful, so FaZe up,” said Ewok
Over the weekend, Ewok competed in Fortnite World Cup's Pro-Am Duos alongside the November 2017 Dancing With the Stars champion, Jordan Fisher. Together they won $20,000 for charity. "I’m SO proud of how we did. Had a blast playing with Soleil as always. The energy in the stadium was unreal. Love you all!!" said Fisher in a tweet.
Ewok has played with other popular streamers in the past, like Timothy “TimTheTatman” John Betar, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, and Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo. This helped push her to the limelight but she is also a great player in her own right, hence the signing.
