EVO Japan 2020 is only a few days away, with a few thousand players registered to compete at the annual event across a variety of games.
This week had a bit of disappointing news when the organizers announced the prizes for the upcoming tournaments. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans were not pleased to discover that the first-place prize would be only a special Nintendo Switch Pro controller. It's understandable since we all know peripherals can't pay for travel expenses.

The annual event will also feature an official collaboration with the anime/manga for all fighting game fans, Hi Score Girl. The deal will have exclusive merchandise available for purchase at the event.
EVO Japan 2020 takes place this weekend from January 24-26 at the Makuhari Messe convention center, Chiba, Tokyo.
