Evil Geniuses has revealed a new crest and player jerseys, deeming it their final phase. This rebrand follows one that occurred in December 2019, which was heavily criticized by the community.

Evil Geniuses released an official statement on their website detailing their decision to take the crest in this direction, and what it means to their organization. Here is a portion of that statement:

Evil Geniuses

We loved the iconic old logo and know many people reading this feel the same way. Since December, we have been tinkering away in the lab to reveal something that we believe people will love and today, we are launching the new crest. Defined by our legacy of excellence. Shaped by our ever-evolving culture. Celebrating our new and long-standing fans, players, and partners. This new crest is symbolic of player and community individualism and breaking the margins. It honors our history while looking to the future and creating a path for competitive success.

A new crest also brings new player jerseys. These jerseys will be what players under the Evil Geniuses banner will now sport at events.

This rebrand has been much more well-received than the first, though it is being compared to the Origin logo. Fans are still asking why it was changed in the first place. The original EG logo was loved by many and was often referred to as one of the best logos in esports. But, it seems Evil Geniuses wanted a change.
