All four of PGL's European Minor Championship qualifiers have wrapped up, solidifying the eight teams that will meet in Bucharest, Romania on Jan. 29-31.
The eight teams that have qualified for the Minor are as follows:
- Cringe Gods
- Team LDLC White
- E-Frag.net
- PENTA Sports
- Blojexpressen (a.k.a. DenDD)
- AliGon
- HellRaisers
- CSGO.one
Among the qualifiers, HellRaisers, PENTA, LDLC White and E-Frag stick out as names that have been seen on large stages before, but many notable players are found in the other teams as well.
CSGO.one is made up of a mix of ex-K1ck Hungarians and ex-Reason Gaming Danish players, as well as a single Swede in BARBARR. Blojexpressen has been making improvements in the second tier of Europe since the last quarter of 2015 with their core of BENDJI, DUMAS and zende.
Of the eight, AliGon and Cringe Gods are the least notable rosters to make it through. Cringe Gods proved themselves in the very first qualifier, taking out both HellRaisers and Blojexpression to take one of the first two spots given out. AliGon took their place through the third qualifier with wins over London Conspiracy (with Polly and Mystic), korfor (which contains cENTRYZ who formerly played for LGB eSports), Dead Pixels and ALTERNATE aTTaX.
