Europe Minor has ended and it marks the last qualifier before FACEIT Major 2018 Offline Qualifier. After Ninjas in Pyjamas won today, they and OpTic finalized the list of teams that will take part in the tournament in Great Britain.
The swedes return to the Major event after the 700 days break. The path to this landmark event was tough. Ninjas managed to get into playoffs after getting second place: win over Red Reserve (16:14), loss to Sprout (16:19) and another master class for Red Reserve (2:0). Then in playoff NiP had to fight against OpTic in first match – 1:2 loss and drop to the playoff lower bracket. In the elimination match, the squad has faced Sprout once again and got their revenge – 2:1. Then NiP got important victory ENCE (2:0) for a slot at FACEIT Major 2018 Offline Qualifier.
After all these endeavors, the Swedes took revenge on the Danes 2:0 in the end and became champions of Europe Minor. OpTic, on the other hand, earned a spot on the Major by winning 4 matches in a row: 3DMAX 16:5 and ENCE 16:13 in the group; then NiP 2:1 and ENCE 2:1 in playoff. Too bad for them, NiP were tougher in the finals.

1st place – Ninjas in Pyjamas – $30,000 and the Major Offline Qualifier slot
2nd place – OpTic – $15,000 and the Major Offline Qualifier slot
3rd place – ENCE – $5,000
4th place – Sprout
5-6th place – 3DMAX, Red Reserve
7-8th place – LeftOut, Kinguin
