The first EU qualifier for the Heroes of the Storm Summer Regional will take place on March 23 and 24, ESL announced Friday. The event will be the first of three which will determine the eight teams who will represent the region at the EU Summer Regional and fight for that event's $100,000 prize pool.
The second qualifier will be held March 26 and 27, and a final, seeded, double-elimination qualifier will take place April 9. mYinsanity and Team Dignitas will receive guaranteed invites to this final tournament, because their participation and preparation for the Spring Global Championship in Seoul, Korea may preclude their involvement in the first two qualifiers. The final qualifier will grant four spots.
Like the qualifiers for the EU Spring Regional, teams and players are left with very little time to build rosters and prepare. Unlike Spring, the schedule may mean that two of the best teams will have only one opportunity to qualify.
Reactions to the news from professional players in EU were nearly universally negative.

The relatively short notice and the short overall duration of the qualifiers is likely to set off a regional roster firestorm, so stay tuned.
