Team NP, the post-TI6 squad formed by Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao and Theeban "1437" Siva, have qualified for The Summit 6 with a 3-2 win over compLexity Gaming in the finals of the American qualifier.

After initially winning two quick games against coL in the semifinals, NP went on to face Friendship, Dedication and Love in the Winner's Finals. That series ended 2-1 in favor of NP, who would go on to defeat compLexity yet again in the finals. Also fighting in the qualifier were EverNovaS, who lost 2-0 first to FDL and then to compLexity in the loser's bracket.

There were initially no plans for an American qualifier, but Beyond The Summit chose to hold one to fill the spot left when Team Secret's declined to attend the event.

NP's win gives them the only North American qualifying slot for The Summit 6, while NA's other representative will be direct invitees Evil Geniuses. OG, Digital Chaos and Wings Gaming also received direct invites, while Southeast Asia's Team Faceless qualified on Oct. 16. The European Qualifier is still ongoing and set to finish Oct. 18, while the Chinese Qualifier will wrap up on Oct. 20.

Team NP is EternalEnvy's newest endeavor after leaving Team Secret and accusing them of misusing player winnings. In the TI6 shuffle season, Envy decided to build his own brand instead of joining an established organization. He has credited teammate 1437 with helping to coach Secret to win The Shanghai Major after coming over from Digital Chaos.
