Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard, and Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu have joined Cloud9 Dota 2, according to a statement on the organization's website.
EternalEnVy and Sneyking were a duo on Fighting PandaS before making their departure from the squad in February 2020. This move is a return home for EternalEnVy, having played for Cloud9 in 2014, 2015, and 2017.
Ace is also a returning Cloud9 member, having played for the organization in 2017. He joins C9 from free agency after leaving Ninjas in Pyjamas in September 2019.
With these additions and the release of Francis "FLee" Lee, Cloud9 Dota 2 are now:
- Jacky "EternalEnVy" Mao
- Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard
- Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu
- Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen
- Johan "pieliedie" Åström
- Andrei "skem" Ong (Bench)
- Cheng "vtFaded" Jia Hao (Bench)
Gaylen Malone, Cloud9 Sr. General Manager, released this statement regarding the new roster:
We're really glad to be welcoming EternaLEnVy and Ace back to C9, and we have no doubt Sneyking will make a tremendous impact as well. We're all looking forward to seeing this team compete at the highest levels.
Cloud9 has almost become an entirely new squad with these changes. We will see what type of glory they can bring home for North America in Dota 2.
